  • Physics and other Scientific Disciplines
  • Economics
  • Community Organizing
  • Dynamics of Social Change, and
  • Other challenges inherent in watershed management

The Watershed Management Professional Program is a program of the Executive Leadership Institute at Portland State University. The goal of the Executive Leadership Institute is to extend the mission of the Hatfield School of Government to the various external communities served by the School. The Institute accomplishes this mission by undertaking a variety of leadership and community development programs that seek to improve the quality of public service and to strengthen democratic governance in communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Watershed Management Professional Program is certified as a continued education program for those certified by the Association of State Floodplain Managers.
