Shpresa Halimi is a Ph.D candidate in the Public Administration and Policy Program at Mark O. Hatfield School of Government. Her research interests include multilevel environmental governance and community based environmental management. Working closely with Executive Leadership Institute's Director of International Public Service, Shpresa provides technical support for the implementation of various international programs targeting public officials from Vietnam, Japan, China, etc.

 

Shpresa has a broad based experience in training, consulting and project management working with Public Administration institutions, NGOs and community groups throughout South East Europe (SEE) and South East Asia. She has held important positions with several USAID funded programs in SEE as well as serving with Envirosolutions, an environmental consulting firm in Michigan, USA.

 

Shpresa holds a Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Tirana (Albania) and a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management from Indiana University. In 1999 she completed an advance course in Project Management at ProjektStyrning AB in Sweden. She has authored and coauthored many training manuals, the Project Management Toolkit and recently the Community Based Environmental Management Toolkit.
