The Certificate in Government Financial Management (CGFM) is a post-baccalaureate offering produced by PSU’s Hatfield School of Government in cooperation with the Association of Government Accountants.

The PSU-AGA partnership was developed to provide better access, frequency, and pricing for public sector financial management education throughout our region.

It was also created to address two significant, long-term challenges many public enterprises are facing.  The first is the talent turnover caused the large number of Baby Boomers becoming eligible to retire.  The second challenge involves the long-term erosion of the fiscal viability of our public organizations.  Quite simply, we have to get serious about preparing managers for the tough financial times ahead.
